South East Melbourne & Gippsland

The estates going up across Clyde and Clyde North are full of late-model cars, and a newer car hides a weak aircon well: the climate display still lights up and the fan still turns, but the air sliding from the vents has lost its bite. Naztech comes to the kerb, the work car park or a new-estate driveway and sorts the regas on the spot, recovering the spent refrigerant and recharging the system to the right weight without the car ever leaving home. A UV-dye leak check goes first, so a system quietly bleeding charge gets found rather than topped up and forgotten. Call 0449 992 695 or send an online enquiry, and we will lock in a time, usually same-day or next-day.

Is the Gas Low, or Is the System Leaking?

Warm air at the vents is a symptom, not a diagnosis. Low refrigerant is the obvious suspect, but it is seldom the only one. A slow leak bleeds the charge away over months. A worn compressor cannot pump what gas is left. Airflow is its own problem: a tired blower motor or a clogged cabin filter chokes the cold before it reaches the vents, and a grimed-up condenser traps the heat the system is trying to dump. Tip fresh gas into any of those and the cold lasts about a week. So on a late-model Clyde car the system is read before anything is added: the aircon runs, the high and low side pressures are checked, and the compressor and airflow get a proper look. If the charge is honestly low and the system still seals, a regas brings the cold straight back. If it is losing gas, the leak is traced to its source first, because refilling a leaking system only pushes costly refrigerant back out the same gap. Either way, you hear what the fault is and what fixing it takes before a dollar is spent.

You Keep the Car, We Bring the Regas to Clyde

A mobile service means your day does not have to bend around ours. There is no workshop to drive to and no lift home to arrange: the van pulls up at the house, the workplace or wherever the car stopped blowing cold, and the work is done there while you carry on. Clyde sits at the southern edge of the City of Casey, so the same van runs through Cranbourne next door and on across the rest of South-East Melbourne. You deal with the technician doing the job rather than a front desk, and most bookings fall on the same day or the next. The commuter hatches and family SUVs filling the new estates get the same regas as the work utes building those streets, a caravan hooked up out the front, or a fleet vehicle that has to stay on the road.

Why Handling Refrigerant Takes a Licence Naztech Holds

Recovering and refilling refrigerant is not a job anyone can legally do. Under Australian law it takes an Australian Refrigeration Council licence, and Naztech holds No. AU066885, so the old gas off your car is captured properly rather than vented to the air. That is the step an unlicensed top-up skips. The person who turns up and does the work is the owner, Sharfraz Nazim, a trade-qualified auto electrician who is also qualified in automotive air conditioning, with around ten years on the tools across family cars and heavy fleets. The rest is in writing. Naztech carries $10 million in public and product liability cover, puts a 12-month or 20,000 km warranty on parts and labour, and backs every battery replacement for 24 months. Behind the name sit 44 five-star Google reviews, most by word of mouth, with more than 400 vehicles repaired since the business started in 2023. A licence you can look up and a warranty in writing are how you know an aircon job was done to standard, not just promised.

Inside a Proper Regas: Recover, Vacuum, Refill by Weight

When the diagnosis lands on a genuine regas, the sequence is the workshop one, just run in your driveway: the old refrigerant is recovered and contained, the empty system is vacuum-tested to prove it holds, then recharged by weight to the exact charge that model takes, with fresh oil and a dye trace added as it goes in. The full recover, vacuum and weigh breakdown lives on the mobile car aircon regas hub. The van is also kitted for the faults a regas sometimes turns up, so a failed compressor or a split hose can usually be handled on the same visit instead of a second booking. That counts for more in a suburb as young as Clyde, where the late-model cars are just reaching the age when the first aircon faults appear.

What a Regas Costs, and Why a Phone Price Would Be a Guess

You want a number, and that is reasonable. The trouble is a flat regas price only holds if the system is sound and just short on gas, which is a guess made before anyone has seen the car. What it runs on matters too: an older car on R134a and a newer one on R1234yf sit a long way apart on the cost of the car aircon gas alone. So the price follows the diagnosis, not the other way round. You get a free quote by phone or online, the call-out fee is confirmed before the van leaves, and any part needed is quoted in writing first. First-time jobs are settled on completion, by card or tap-and-pay on the spot. Because the leak check is built into the regas, you are never billed to refill gas that has already escaped. That is the honest way to price a car air conditioning repair, and it is why the number you are quoted is the number you pay.

Nearby Suburbs We Cover

The same come-to-you regas runs to the City of Casey suburbs either side of Clyde, so it is just as easy to book up the road:

The Clyde this van comes to is the Casey one, the short run between Cranbourne and the Cardinia border, where the regas is sorted in your own driveway.

Common Questions

Clyde Regas Questions, Answered Without the Sales Pitch

Why won't you quote a regas price for Clyde over the phone?

Until the system has actually been tested, any price is guesswork. We would not yet know whether the car just needs gas or has a fault hiding behind the warm air, or even which refrigerant it runs, and newer cars and older ones part ways on that. What you get up front instead is a free quote and a confirmed call-out fee, so the call-out cost is locked in before the van leaves.
